Artist Bruno Fazzolari began creating perfumes inspired by his own experience of synesthesia ("seeing" scent). His first fragrances appeared alongside his paintings in gallery exhibitions.

All scents are hand-crafted and hand-poured in small batches in Bruno's studio in San Francisco, California using the highest quality raw materials we can find. Artisanal and personal in all respects, everything from the perfume formula to the package design is created, compounded, bottled, boxed and shipped by Bruno and a small staff.

Bruno Fazzolari Scents was created to offer his fragrances outside of the exclusive gallery setting. The line quickly attracted the attention of critics and fragrance lovers alike. Artforum named it a "Top Ten" for 2013. In 2014, Luca Turin gave Lampblack a four-star review. Fazzolari has received extensive press including coverage in the style sections of the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.

"I am entirely self-taught. I believe in scents that are striking and beautiful—yet also a little classic. As an independent, I'm free of the compromises of focus groups and marketing budgets. I encourage you to try the adventurous yet classic Lampblack, or the luscious and complex Monserrat—both named after colors I use in my paintings."

"Mr. Fazzolari is the most interesting emerging perfumer of the last couple of years. His synergy of visual art and perfume is breathtaking."
